Bergen Carbon Solutions to raise NOK 30 million from Saga Pure.

Bergen Carbon Solutions, a Bergen, Norway-based developer of a technology used for converting CO2 to carbon nanofibers, announced that it raised the capital with a total of NOK 40M ($4.6M).

The money was raised from the local private investors from Norway including Saga Pure ASA, which contributed with NOK 30 million out of the 40.

Bergen Carbon Solutions, founded in 2016 by Jan Børge Sagmo and CEO Finn Blydt-Svendsen, developed an innovative technology that converts CO2 into high value CNF. The process uses significantly less electricity than conventional production methods, and is currently the only technology that can produce CNF with zero emissions. CNF combines high strength and low weight with exceptional heat and electricity conductivity, and is used in numerous sectors such as aerospace, automotive, sports, electronics, construction, energy and others.

Bergen Carbon Solutions previously raised $1.9M in 2019.
