BetaDwarf announced the completion of $6.6 million in capital investment from Makers Fund, London Venture Partners, 1UP Ventures and Everblue Management.

BetaDwarf, a Copenhagen, Denmark-based video game developer, announced the completion of a $6.6M capital investment round.

The funding round was led by Makers Fund and included new and existing investors such as London Venture Partners, 1UP Ventures and Everblue Management. The funding will be used to expand their game portfolio on a new genre focused on friendships.

BetaDwarf, founded in 2010 by CEO Steffen Kabbelgaard Grønning, is a Danish studio focusing on the development of what the company calls “friendshipping games”. They published titles such as Forced (2013), Forced: Showdown (2016) and Minion Masters (2019). Minion Masters has over 2.5 million downloads, and it has more than 100,000 members on its Discord server.

Prior to this round the company raised $1.5M in 2018.
