Blacklane announced raising €22 million.

Blacklane, a Berlin, Germany-based transportation company providing on-demand black-car chauffeur services, announced securing a funding round of €22 million ($26 million).

The money was raised from existing investors German automotive manufacturer Daimler, the UAE’s ALFAHIM Group and btov Partners

The money will be used to continue expanding sustainable travel initiatives, and to continue expanding its existing business with more flexible options for riding.

Blacklane, founded in 2011 by CEO Jens Wohltorf and Frank Steuer, is a transportation-on-demand company, offering top of the line cars and professional drivers. The company is active in Berlin, London, Dubai, Los Angeles, New York, Paris, Singapore and 16 other cities.
