Bliksund was acquired by Monterro

Bliksund, a Grimstad, Norway-based SAAS developer for emergency aand health services, announced getting into an agreement for selling the company to the private equity investor from Sweden, Monterro.

The deal, which has the financial details undisclosed, was made for a majority equity package. The remaining share will be held by the company’s founders.

The transaction will provide Bliksund with capital to accelerate product development, increase the product portfolio via add-on acquisitions in the digital platform, and expand internationally.

Bliksund, founded in 2010 by CEO Tor Laukvik, does SAAS for emergency services, namely products EWA - electronic ambulance journal, and GRID - a portal that gives emergency personnel access to central support systems.. The platform is available in Norway, where all regions use Bliksund’s platform, and is backed by 28 employees.
