Bohemia Interactive secures strategic funding from Tencent
Bohemia Interactive, a Prague, Czech Republic-based game developer, announced that it secured a capital funding agreement.
The deal was made for a minority equity stake with Tencent Holdings. Othe financial details were not disclosed.
Following the strategic investment, Bohemia Interactive will continue to operate independently and be led by the existing management team.
Bohemia Interactive, founded in 1999 by Marek Španěl (CEO), Ondřej Španěl and Slavomír Pavlíček, develops PC, console, and mobile game including Arma and Dayz.
The company now is working together with Tencent to bring their PC/mobile sandbox game creation platform Ylands to Chinese players and game makers.
