Bokio secured $4.4M from Creandum and Svea Ekonomi.

Bokio, a Gothenburg, Sweden-based company providing accounting services via a mobile application, announced securing €4 million ($4.4M) in capital investment.

The funding was provided by local investors from Sweden, including Creandum and Svea Ekonomi. In connection with the round, the company announced new hires as Pernilla Fornbäck and Ingemar Rask.

Bokio, founded in 2015 by CEO Viktor Stensson, developed a software solution for small businesses, sole traders, and freelancers which supports a wide range of administrative tasks including invoicing, employee expenses, reporting and VAT returns. The app is available for free and has about 80,000 users based in Sweden and UK.

Prior to this round, Bokio raised almost $4M from professional investors.
