Bolt adds $2.9M from Bocap and Ilmarinen

Bolt, a Helsinki, Finland-based company operating a staffing platform, announced that it secured EUR 2.5M ($2.9M) in capital investment.

The money was provided by investors including the Finnish venture company Bocap and the insurance company Ilmarinen. Post transaction, 42.3% of the company is owned by the management.

The company will seek additional growth by expanding its business into new industries and establishing new regional organizations.

Bolt, founded in 2016 and led by CEO Ville Herva, built and operates a technology platform intermmediating workforce leasing.

The company has 50 employees based in offices from Helsinki, Tampere, Jyväskylä, Turku and Seinäjoki and operates in five industries, within construction, industry, logistics and real estate maintenance.

Bolt has grown from a small operator with a turnover of EUR 3 million in 2014 to a growth company with a net sales expectation of EUR 14 million ($15.7M) for 2018. For 2021, the company aims to reach EUR 55M.
