Bygghema buys Furniturebox, feeds its accelerated growth appetite

Bygghemma announced it bought Furniturebox, a Stockholm-based online retailer of furniture.

Bygghemma is one of the large Swedish chain retailers, with online and offline stores within the entire Scandinavia region.

The company has been recently on an acqusition spree, as it aims an accelerated growth target of doubling sales yoy to SEK 5bn ($570M) in 2017. At the end of 2016, Bygghemma bought Stonefactory, a Linkoping-based online tile shop with turnover of SEK 20 million ($2.3M).

Bygghemma is owned by Norwegian PE group FSN, which bought 88% of the Swedish retail chain in the fall of 2016.
