Byggmakker to acquire Skattum Handel AS.

Byggmakker Handel AS, a Trondheim, Norway-based operator in the building and home improvement trade, announced entering into an agreement to acquire Skattum Handel AS, a Norwegian distributor trade.

The financial details of the acquisition remain undisclosed.

Skattum Handel AS operates 10 Byggmakker stores around the Oslo area (in the counties of Hedmark, Oppland, Oslo and Akershus) and employs 320 people. In 2017, the company made €4.3 million in operating profit and had  net sales of approximately €94 million in 2017.

Skattum Handel AS also owns 34% of Byggmakker Hønefoss and recently celebrated its 125th anniversary.
