Capdesk, a Copenhagen, Denmark and London, UK-based company helping unlisted companies manage equity, announced that it secured a GBP 1.5M ($2M) in capital investment.

The money was provided by Fuel Ventures, which put GBP 1M, and undisclosed angel investors. The funding will be used to continue to expand sales, operations and further develop the company's product.

Capdesk, founded in 2016 by CEO Christian Gabriel and Casper Arboll, built a software as a service equity management platform that digitizes and provides liquidity to the billions of pounds’ worth of employee shares in unlisted European companies.

The system allows companies to digitize all their equity information (such as cap tables, shareholder register, or vesting schedules) to ensure they always have accurately updated and securely stored data about their equity structure. By extension, this means companies can present this information to investors and employees. The product is sold through Capdesk’s website, and is used by clients including Nutmeg, Secret Escapes and MarketInvoice.

Prior to this deal, Capdesk raised money from investors including Innovationsfonden, Ivan Sandqvist and Nicolaj Højer Nielsen.
