Capidea becomes the new majority shareholder of Danish distributor Creativ Company.
Creativ Company A/S, a Danish distributor of educational arts and crafts materials, announced that Capidea acquired a majority equity stake in the company. The deal should secure further growth and development of the company.
Creativ Company's current owners Anders Lindhardsen, Lotte Littau Kjærgaard and Peter Nørgaard continue as significant minority shareholders.
Funded in 2000, Creativ Company buys and sells materials to schools and other institutions, wholesale customers and private consumers in Scandinavia, Germany and the UK.
Following the investment, Anders Lindhardsen continue as CEO and Lotte Littau Kjærgaard continues as creative director while Peter Nørgaard resigns from the daily management but will continue as a board member. Moreover, CFO Michael Bjerre Drost joined the investors' group.
Capidea is a Danish private equity fund that makes investments in small and medium-sized Danish companies with potential for growth. Capidea was established in November 2006, has capital commitments totaling DKK 1.5 billion and has raised two funds to present.
