Chimi Eyewear in a SEK 80 million investment deal backed by eEquity.

Chimi Eyewear, a Stockholm, Sweden-based online retailer, announced the completion of a SEK 80 million ($9.4M) capital funding round.

The money was raised from the local investors from Sweden focused on the e-commerce vertical, eEquity. eEquity will control 21% of the equity valued at a total of SEK 380 million ($44M).

Chimi Eyewear, founded in 2016 by CEO Daniel Djurdjevic and Charlie Lindström, built an online fashion operation based on selling eye glasses. The company says it eestmats to produce sales of roughly SEK 100 million in 2021 and previously raised an angel round in 2019.
