Cleverea in a €5 million investment round backed by Stride VC et al

Cleverea, a Barcelona, Spain-based provider of insurance products, completed a €5 million ($5.8M) investment round.

The money was raised from investors led by the British VC Stride VC.

Cleverea, founded in 2019 by Álvaro Sanz, Javier Bosch Liarte and Joan Bosch Liarte, is working for providing innovative digital insurance products targeted for travellers. The company's first product, launched in 2019, is a a 100% digital and claim-free flight delay insurance compensating passengers from 20 minutes of delay onwards. 

Clevera previously raised €730k from investors from Spain including Bonsai Partners and Inveready.
