climatiq, a Berlin, Germany-based startup providing B2B software for carbon tracking, completed an early stage funding round of €1.7 million ($2M).

Backers include the German VC Cherry Ventures, the family office of Paul Forster (co-founder of job search engine Indeed), and Jens Lapinski of Angel Invest who previously headed Techstars in Berlin.

climatiq, founded in 2021 by Hessam Yosef Lavi, Philipp von Bieberstein and Isis T. Baulig, developed an easy-to-implement API used for collecting emissions data, automation of carbon footprint calculations, and enabling data-supported decisions on how a business can reduce, offset, and become more sustainable, fast.
