Coalescent Mobile Robotics, an Odense, Denmark-based robotics startup of solutions for grocery warehouses, secured a DKK 11 million ($1.7M) capital funding round.

The money was raised from investors from Denmark, including Vækstfonden and PreSeed Ventures as well as angel investors Niels Jul Jacobsen and Enrico Krog Iversen. The latter two will also join the Board of Directors, which will be led by Ulrik Jørring.

Coalescent Mobile Robotics, founded in 2018 by CEO Clionadh Martin, designs and builds agile, fast and smooth collaborative robots (Cobots) in order to assist small and medium-sized e-commerce and on-demand enterprises to optimize their intra-logistics and warehouse operations. The company says it currently is developing a fleet of ten mobile robots, which will be tested in an Odense supermarket.
