CodersTrust adds DKK 2.7M from Norwegian investors.
CodersTrust, a Copenhagen, Denmark-based startup providing education and micro loans to students in emerging countries, secured DKK 2.7M ($450k) in outside funding.
The money comes from Norwegian investors.
CodersTrust, founded in 2013 by CEO Ferdinand Kjaerulff, Asser Smidt and Jan-Cayo Fiebig, developed a platform providing financial support to students in emerging countries, so they can improve their coding skills and earn more money on freelance markets. In 2017, the company was not profitable, accounting DKK 1.4M ($230k) in losses.
Prior to this deal, CodersTrust raised money from local angel investors, including Morten Lund, Stig Abildsø, Amar Duggal, Segnel Ventures and Viling Venture Partners, and was part of the Norwegian startup accelerator, Katapult, which added $150k in funding in 2017.
