Car2Go will discontinue its carsharing service in Stockholm due to the low number of members or car-usage. The company is owned by Daimler and is present in 14 cities in Europe, as well as in North America and China.

The car sharing ecosystem in Sweden is dominated by Volvo's service, Sunfleet, which runs a fleet of 1000 cars and with sales of SEK 108 million in 2015.

Daimler remains however in Stockholm with the newly launched My Taxi service, which aims to compete with Uber and taxi companies.
