Digitail secures $2.5 million in a seed round led by byFounders and Gradient Ventures.

Digitail, a Romanian-founded startup developing an integrated veterinary system, announced completing a funding round totalling $2.5 million.

The money was raised from investors including the Danish VC from byFounders, the Americans from Gradient Ventures and the French from Partech.

Proceeds will be used to build more business.

Digitail was founded by Ruxandra Pui and Sebastian Gabor (CEO) and developed a software solution for an “all-in-one” practice management system for animal hospitals, veterinary clinics, and their customers.

The platform, which is used by customers in 16 countries, includes a consumer-friendly app that serves as a pet’s medical ID and is developed by a remote team based in Barcelona, Copenhagen and on both coasts of the United States.

Digitail was incubated in Malmö at a local startup accelerator, and previously raised money from Nordic angel investors including Christian Jantzen from Futuristic, Hampus Jakobsson, Erik Byrenius, Jonas Vig (CEO of MinDoktor), Neil Murray from The Nordic Web Ventures and Emil Sjödin (Refined).
