Doctrin grabs $12M more from existing investors Capio, HealthCap, Inbox Capital and Norrsken Foundation.

Doctrin, a Stockholm, Sweden-based medical technology company announced securing SEK 100M ($12M) in investment funding.

The money comes from existing investors, including Capio, which contributed with SEK 49M, HealthCap, Inbox Capital and Norrsken Foundation. The announcement comes 6 months after Doctrin received an undisclosed amount of investment from Add Health Media.

The investment funds will be used to strengthen the development of the product portfolio, increasing efficiency in healthcare provision and improving patient experience, as well as to accelerate expansion in Sweden and internationally.

Doctrin, founded in 2016 and led by CEO Magnus Liungman, develops digital tools to support healthcare providers, by allowing for the patient to summarise his or her own medical history. The patient answers questions about their symptoms on their smartphone or computer, which helps healthcare providers to deliver the appropriate care. The company has 29 employees.

Prior to this transaction, Doctrin has raised almost $4M from Håkan Winberg, John Bloom, Lars Lindgren and Norrsken Foundation.
