Doktor24 to get strategic investment from Apoteket.
Doktor24, a Stockholm, Sweden-based digital health care provider, announced in a press release getting into an agreement for selling a part of the company to Apoteket AB, Sweden's largest pharmacy chain owned by the Swedish government.
The deal was made for SEK 60 million ($6.3M) for an equity stake of 20% of the company. The rest of 80% will be controlled by existing owner Patricia Industries. The aim of the transaction is integrating Apoteket's local pharmacies with Doktor24's health network.
Doktor24, founded in 2016 and led by CEO Daniel Lillienau, developed a health network system by integrating digital and physical care service providing. The company also operates through a subsidiary, Platform24, which is a developer of technical solutions for digitally integrated care for both private and public healthcare providers.
