Doktor.se, a Stockholm, Sweden-based health company operating a digital platform for booking consulting customers, signed off an $36 million investment agreement for adding China-based Tencent as investors in the company.

The deal is a combination of secondary ($11.5M) and equity raise ($24.2M) and comes one month after a $61.6M deal announcement backed by Swedish investors Consensus Fonder and Skabholmen invest.

The company says that the deal rationale supports its aggresive growth strategy preparing for an IPO momentum planned for 2022.

Doktor.se, founded in 2016 and led by CEO Martin Lindman, offers digital health care services through video app meetings and phone calls via its platform, Doktor.se or directly at its own clinics. The company's services are available in Sweden only.
