Ducktrain in a capital investment deal backed by Earlybird et al
Ducktrain, an Aachen, Germany-manufacturer of an electric and automated logistics vehicle, announced completing a capital round for adding more equity in the company.
The deal was made locally in Germany with investors including Earlybird Venture Capital, be10x Capital GmbH as well as NRW.Bank.
Ducktrain, founded in 2018 by Kai D. Kreisköther, Markus Werle and Fabian Kober, is developing a smart, electric and automated light vehicle for the urban and industrial last mile. The vehicle is an electrically powered cargo trailer called the Ducktrain that can be docked on bicycles, tricycles or e-cargo bikes. Users can interconnect up to five vehicles with a maximum load of 300 kilograms.
Ducktrain previously raised from investors including EIT InnoEnergy and Wi Venture in january 2021 and prior to that, about €1.5 million from investors including Plug and Play Techcenter, 5P Capital and angel investor Achim Kampker.
