Einride secured SEK 22M from an angel network led by Carl Henric Nilsson.
Einride, a Stockholm, Sweden-based company specialized in self driving vehicles, closed a SEK 22M ($2.8M) investment round.
The money comes from its existing investors, led by angel investor Carl-Henric Nilsson, and will be used to complete the company's prototype development and further business development.
Einride, founded in 2016 by CEO Robert Falck and Filip Lilja, developed the T-pod, a technology for a transport vehicle designed and developed for self-driving electric propulsion. The company, which employs 30 people, aims to be a major contributor to a sustainable society by lowering the carbon dioxide emissions of the transport industry.
In 2017 Einride announced the prototype of its product, which is in the works for being tested by early customers. Also, in 2017, the company closed a SEK 6M ($700k) investment round from friends and family, as well as from a few local angel investors.
