Entis secures EUR 200k, is ready to launch its insect-based food products.

Entis, a Turku, Finland-based manufacturer of insect-based food products, announced securing EUR 200k ($230k) in capital investment.

The money was provided by a range of Finnish investors including Aboa Advest Oy, Aura Pääomasijoitus Oy, Monttu Ventures Oy, Sofokus Push Oy, Hercculia Oy, Laiterä Consulting Oy and SilentQuote Oy and will be used for the commercialization and internationalization of the new product family to be released at the end of August.

Entis, founded 2017 by CEO Samuli Taskila, developed an insect food brand covering a range of products, based on premise that the insects are an excellent food source, comparable to that of meat but their cultivation produces less greenhouse gases and consumes significantly less water than meat production
