Erase All Kittens raised $1 million from Twinkl Educational Publishing and angel investors.
Erase All Kittens, a London, UK-based developer of a game designed for kids aged 8-12 aimed to inspire them to pick up software coding skills, announced the completion of a $1 million capital funding round.
The money was raised from investors led by Twinkl Educational Publishing (Jonathan Seaton), with participation from Christian Reyntjens of the A Black Square family office and angel investors.
Erase All Kittens, founded in 2013 by Leonie Van Der Linde and CEO Dee Saigal, developed a game that introduces children aged 8-13 to transferable digital skills, with a particular aim toinspire more girls to code and create. Players edit the code that governs the game environment, building and fixing levels as they play in order to save kittens in a fantasy internet universe.
