Esgaia announced raising funding from Wellstreet.

Esgaia, a Stockholm, Sweden-based startup building a SAAS platform for aggregating ESG data, announced that it completed a capital financing round.

The money was raised from local investors from Sweden, including Wellstreet.

Esgaia, founded as Acty in 2020 by CEO Anton Ljung, Frida Femling and Simon Kristiansson, developed a platform to help investors consider and mitigate sustainability risks in portfolio companies. The tool is used in order to lower the barriers for active ownership through automated processes that enable easier collaboration and increased transparency between stakeholders. The company says it works with some of the largest institutional investors in Sweden, including Storebrand Asset Management and Länsförsäkringar.
