Exakt Health in a $1.5 million pre-seed funding round led by BackBone Ventures.

Exakt Health, a Berlin, Germany-based startup building a digital physio therapy coach for sport injuries, announced a pre-seed funding round closed at $1.5 million.

The money was raised from investors led by BackBone Ventures, joined by Auxxo, Possible Ventures, N26 founder Maximilian Tayenthal, Cornelia Hoppe and Gloria Bauerlein.

Exakt Health, founded in 2021 by Philip Billaudelle (CEO) and Lucia Payo, is working for the development of a digital health smartphone application for sports injury diagnosis and personalised treatment plans. The app is provided for free for the patient and makes money from the health insurance providers via an app on prescription, and it currently has over 8000 users in the EU and the U.K

The company previously raised $500k in 2021.
