Feather Insurance in a €3.8 million seed round backed by Taavet+Sten and multiple angel investors from Germany.

Feather Insurance, a Berlin, Germany-based startup building a consumer insurance business, announced a seed funding round closed at €3.8 million ($4.2 million).

The money was raised from multiple angel investors led by Taavet Hinrikus via Taavet+Sten.

Feather, incubated in 2018 at Entrepreneur First by CEO Robert Schumacher and Vincent Audoire, manages and sells D2C a portfolio of 9 insurance products that are provided in a personalised way, as it offers tools, articles, and support where people can reach out to a human about problems or questions they have. The company says it sold products to 30,000 customers from 150 countries worldwide.
