Fenix Begravning secured $700k from Swedish angel investors.

Fenix Begravning, a Stockholm, Sweden-based company providing funeral services, completed a SEK 6.3 million ($700k) capital investment round.

The funding was led by existing investor, Peter Weiderman, and included a new one, Inbox Capital's Chairman John Wattin.

Fenix ​​Funeral, founded in 2014 by CEO Charlotte Runius, Mikael Novak and Johannes Ekblad, provides funeral services for the Swedish market. The company is yet to become profitably at a 2018 turnover of SEK 22.6 million ($2.4M), almost 2x compared to SEK 12M ($1.4M) for 2017.

Prior to this round, Fenix raised about $3.5 million from angel investors based in Sweden.
