Ferd buys 40% of Fürst Medical Laboratory.

Fürst Medical Laboratory, a Furuset, Norway-based company running largest medical laboratory in the Nordic region, announced getting into an agreement for selling a 40% minority equity position in the company to Ferd Capital.

The financial details remained undisclosed. After the sale, the majority of the company will still be controlled by Chairman Helgheim and his closest family, as has been the past 35 years.

Fürst Medisinsk Laboratorium, run by CEO Håvard Selby Ebbestad, is a privately owned medical laboratory with accreditation within medical biochemistry, pharmacology, microbiology and pathology. The central laboratory is located at Furuset, Oslo. The company has 3 test facilities in Oslo, one in Bergen and one in Sandefjord.
