Flightradar24 invests undisclosed amount in drone tracking software provider, SkySense

Flightradar24, a Stockholm, Sweden-based company providiing aviation tracking services, announced it invested an undisclosed amount in drone tracking software provider, SkySense.

Flightradar24, led by CEO Fredrik Lindahl, sees it as a strategic investment as if more drone companies choose to use the transponders for tracking, then Flightradar24 may be able to also collect data for drones.

Skysense AB, founded in 2014 and led by CEO Robby de Candido, develops innovative ADS-B based collision avoidance solutions that make it safer for drones to co-exist in the sky with civilian aircraft.
