Flow Robotics, a Copenhagen, Denmark-based manufacturer of liquid handling robots for lab automation, announced the completion of a DKK 15M ($2.5M) capital funding round.

The money was raised from the local investor from Denmark Vækstfonden and will be used as the company seeks to internationalize its business.

Flow Robotics, founded as a spinoff from the IT University of Copenhagen in 2015 by Annika Isaksson and Kasper Støy, developed a user-friendly robot for liquid handling within medical laboratories.

The robot, called Flowbot One, uses advanced Augmented Reality (AR) technology, and in addition to supporting the manual work, and thus remedying some of the work injuries associated with manual pipetting, can be implemented in the laboratory and adapted to the workflows you already have. The company says it sells robots to more than 13 different markets, primarily in Europe.

Total investments received (USD): 13.99M
