Flowx AI secured $8.5 million in a round backed by PortfoLion.

Flowx AI, a Bucharest, Romania-based software startup, announced the completion of a $8.5 million financing round.

The money was raised from investors led by Hungary's VCs PortfoLion, and joined by also Hungarian Day One Capital. The round includes funding raised via Seedblink, a local equity crowdfunding platform based in Romania.

Proceeds will be used for the expansion of the company, as it intends to hire 20 more people.

Flowx AI, founded in 2019 by CEO Ioan Iacob, Radu Cautis and Serban Chiricescu, developed a software framework that wraps and orchestrates legacy systems, making it easy for enterprises to create web and mobile front-ends for mission-critical business flows. Customers include financial institutions that need to create unified, omnichannel customer and employee experiences without changing their existing systems and infrastructure. Other use cases cover clients active in the Power and Utility, Telco, and CPG industries.
