Freshflow, a Berlin, Germany-based software startup developing an AI-powered forecasting platform to help retailers reduce food waste, announced closing a seed funding round at €1.7 million ($1.9 million).
The money was raised locally from Germany, from investors led by Capnamic and by World Fund, joined by angel investors Alexander Mrozek CEO at Dr. Oetker Digital and Jens Fiege and Felix Fiege, CEOs at FIEGE Logistics.
Freshflow, incubated at Entrepreneur First in the summer of 2021 by CEO Avik Mukhija and Carmine Paolino, developed a software solution for food retailers that helps them manage fresh products and automates ordering via forecasting and recommendations that massively reduce food waste while still keeping shelves full.
