Freska raises $11.4M in fresh capital.
Freska, a Helsinki, Finland-headquartered company providing a digital marketplace for cleaning services, secured NOK 95M in capital investment.
According to the Norwegian media, the deal values the company at around NOK 300M ($36M). The money was provided by international investment funds and will be used to develop the digital platform, staff new cleaners and further grow the business.
Freska, founded in 2015 and led by its Group CEO Sebastian Heinrichs, is a home services technology company managing a consumer marketplace helping with finding a personal, trustworthy cleaner. The company is active in Finland, Norway and Sweden.
Prior to this deal, in 2017, Freska raised €2 million ($2.2M) from investors including Swedish VC Spintop Ventures, Norwegian Momentum Partners as well as angels from Norway, Lasse Smedsvig and Harald Aalvik, and from Finland, Olli Sirkiä.
In 2016, Freska acquired Norwegian competitor, Bergen-based, Wipe.
