GamerzClass in a new capital transaction deal backed by byFounders, Bumble Ventures et al

GamerzClass, a Copenhagen, Denmark-based operator of an online gaming community, secured a new capital funding round of $2.5 million.

The deal was made with new and existing shareholders of the company, including byFounders, 500 startups, Bumble Ventures and angel investors Jesper Drecher, Ben Holmes, former general partner at Index Ventures and Morten Wulff, founder of GameAnalytics.

GamerzClass, founded in 2018 by CEO Victor Folmann, Oliver Nørgaard Grønne and Jonas Rosbech, operates a skill teaching platform within esports in Europe and Asia. In 2020, the company pivoted its content production and business model by switching into a fully remote production setup. It is currently used by more than 250,000 active gamers in 180 countries and is working with esports organizations such as Fnatic, Team Liquid, F.C Schalke 04, and Team Alliance.

The company previously raised $1 million from Bumble Ventures and Vaekstfonden in 2020.
