Generation Home, a London, UK-based startup building a mortgage lending service, announced that it completed a $30.4 million capital funding round.

The money was raised from investors led by Mithril Capital and joined by Firstminute Capital, Entrée Capital, JamJar, Third Kind Ventures and La Famiglia. The round included contributions from London-based angel investors including Tom Blomfield (former Monzo CEO), Kevin Hartz and Julia Hartz (founders of Eventbrite) and Joe Cross (former TransferWise head of growth).

Generation Home, founded in 2019 by husband and wife Will Rice and Sophia Guy-White, is building a mortgage lending service aimed to make it easier for first-time buyers to purchase a home with support from family or friends than a traditional mortgage lender, meaning it uses a fractional ownership platform which allows parents or friends to build up a legal equity stake in a property they are helping to fund. The service was launched in 2020.

Generation Home previously raised $8.5 million in 2019 from Firstminute Capital, Entrée Capital, JamJar, Third Kind Ventures and La Famiglia.

Total investments received (USD): 38.9M
