Geras Solutions to raise $500k from Add Health Media.

Geras Solutions, a Stockholm, Sweden-based software developer of a dementia app platform, announced completing a SEK 5M ($510k) capital investment round.

The funding was backed by investors from Sweden, including Add Health Media, and angel investors Per Båtelson and Claes Dinkelspiel.

Geras Solutions, founded in 2015 and led by CEO Haza Newman, offers digital dementia support via an easy to use mobile health platform. The company has developed a mobile app that can detect cognitive impairment via a clinically validated diagnosis support tool, and provide specialist follow-up support via their telemedicine tool.

Additionally, individuals are offered Risk reduction methods, based on the large international FINGER study, to prevent and delay cognitive decline through lifestyle changes. In addition to positive effects on dementia, significant positive effects related to other chronic diseases were also seen.
