Glorify in a $40 million Series A funding round led by Andreessen Horowitz

Glorify, a London, UK-based startup operating a mobile social network providing worship routines and ways to connect with God, announced completing a $40 million series A funding round.

The money was raised from investors led by the US-based VC a16z, joined by Softbank LATAM, K5 Global and angel investors including Kris Jenner, Corey Gamble, Michael Ovitz, Jason Derulo and Michael Bublé.

Proceeds will be used to scale its operations, expand its team internationally, create new and exclusive content, while further evolving the app’s features to meet and serve customer demand from Christians around the globe.

Glorify, founded in 2020 by CEO Ed Beccle (22-year-old serial entrepreneur) and Henry Costa, developed a mobile application intended to create space and structure for Christians to connect with God on a daily basis. The app is available against a subscription and provides access to bite-sized worship routines, guided meditation, along with audio bible passages and Christian music. The company says it is averaging 250,000 daily users mostly from the United States and Brazil, out of a total of 1.8 million users which completed more than 19 million Daily Worship sessions and listend to over 173 million minutes of prayer, music and meditation.
