Goodlifeme raises $1.5M to launch its health gaming app in the USA.

Goodlifeme, a Swedish-based, Icelandic-founded healthtech company, announced it raised $1.5M in an investment round led by Frumtak Ventures. The money will be used for expanding the business in the United States.

Goodlifeme, based in Gothenburg, produces a mobile-based health program, SidekickHealth, and also has a large part of the business operations run through its subsidiary in Iceland.

Sidekick Health is a software application that makes use of behavioral economics, game technology and artificial intelligence and is used to identify risk factors and impact on health behavior in order to reduce the prevalence and severity of lifestyle-related diseases such as type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease. The app has already some traction in Sweden and Iceland.

Goodlifeme was founded in 2014 by Tryggvi Thorgeirsson and Sæmundur Oddsson and prior to this investment raised about $2M in outside investment money.
