GScan closes a €1.4M investment round led by AS Amalfi, Hansa Grupp OÜ and Sillever OÜ.

GScan, a Talinn, Estonia-based software startup developing a next generation 3D-scanners solution, raised €1.4 million ($1.5M) in an equity funding round.

The money was raised from the local investors from Estonia including AS Amalfi, Hansa Grupp OÜ and Sillever OÜ.

Gscan, founded in 2018 by CEO Hannes Plinte and Andi Hektor, developed a 3D scanning solution that can be used by security systems for identification of threat and illegal materials, such as explosives, nuclear material or narcotics. The company is working with customs, universities, research centers, and security companies in Europe to develop an autonomous state-of-the-art cosmic ray 3D scanner that fits well within the existing infrastructure to enable quick adoption. The systems are autonomous, able to identify chemical composition of scanned objects, and they fit well within the existing infrastructures to enable quick adoption.

Gscan previously raised €500,000 in capital investment from Indrek Kasela.
