Happeo, a Helsinki, Finland-based company providing a B2B software solution for internal communication, announced the completion of a $12 million capital investment round.

The money was provided by a range of investors led by INKEF Capital and including previous backers DN Capital, Maki.vc and Vendep Capital. The proceeds will be used to further expand the business, improve product and add more people to teams in the Netherlands, Finland, Romania and the US.

Happeo, initially named Universe, was founded in 2017 as a spinoff from the Finnish software company Gapps and is led by CEO Perttu Ojansuu. The company renamed in 2018 as it developed a combination of enterprise social network, company news feed and intranet system. The platform helps internal communicators to connect with employees in new ways, bringing together intranet, collaboration, and social networking into one unified solution.

Prior to this round, in 2018, Happeno raised $8 million from DN Capital, Maki.vc, and Vendep Capital.
