Hästnet acquired Pets4Homes from UK

Hästnet, a Stockholm, Sweden-based company operating a digital platform for horse-related equipment and accessories trade, announced the acquisition of the British company Pet Media Ltd, from London.

The financial details were not disclosed.

Pet Media Ltd, founded in 2005, operates Pets4Homes, one of UKs popular free pet classifieds and information site. The Hästnet purchase also includes Petforums, the UK's largest pet forum for everything related to pets.

Hästnet, founded in 2003, is one of the most dominant online business within horse-related equipment and accessories. The company is backed by a range of well known Swedish investors, including Verdane, Back in Black and Vostok Ventures, and raised $14M to finance its growth.
