Hylte Jakt och Lantman to be acquired by Verdane Capital and merged with Maskincenter Blekinge.
Hylte Jakt och Lantman, a Swedish retailer of hunting and agriculture products secured investment capital from Verdane Capital.
The transaction, which has the financial details undisclosed, was made for the majority package of the shares in the company and is part of a larger deal including the acquisition of Maskincenter Blekinge, which will be merged with Hylte Jakt och Lantman in a holding group.
Hylte Jakt och Lantman was founded in 1911 by Dutch farmers and is led by CEO Anders Carlsson. The company was acquired by his father, Karl-Göran Carlsson, in 2014 and has sales of SEK 217M ($25M) in 2017.
MaskinCenter Blekinge, led by CEO Stefan Olsson, is also a Swedish retailer of forestry and agriculture products, selling offline and via Maskinklippet.se. The company has sales of SEK 86M ($10M) in 2017.
