Hyre raised $5.8M from Møller Mobility Group.

Hyre, an Oslo (Skøyen), Norway-based company operating a digital service for car sharing, completed a NOK 50M ($5.8M) capital investment round.

The funding was supported by existing owner, Møller Group. Following the transaction, Møller increases its ownership from 50 to 77.5 per cent of the company, while the founders and employees will control the rest.

Hyre, founded in 2017 and led by CEO Nils Petter Nordbø, developed a platform that makes it easy to rent cars on demand. The platform is yet to become profitable, has 10,000 users, and, on average, a customer uses the service five times a year.
