IKEA Denmark set to have record high sales of DKK 3.9bn for 2015 fiscal year, online sales see 40% growth
The total turnover of IKEA's Danish leg is expected to land at 3.9 billion in the fiscal year ending at the end of August.
Growth is thus approximately five percent, and it gives once again CEO of IKEA Denmark, Dennis Balslev, a record year.
"2016 will be the best year ever. We are very pleased that the growth will continue and that we approach the Fantastic Four billion in revenue, which we have been chasing, "says Dennis Balslev.
Alone on kitchens and kitchen equipment revenue increased by ten percent. 30,000 Danes have bought a new IKEA kitchen this past year, and sales of products related to the kitchen, has also increased. Dennis Balslev emphasizes, however, that in many areas is well in sales.
"E-commerce takes more and more speed. It has grown over the past year by 40 per cent., And it is obviously something we are aware of the development, so we get e-commerce and physical stores to play together, "says Dennis Balslev.
The outlook for the 2016 is to be at the same growth as in the previous. It will bring IKEA Denmark a turnover of 4.1 billion.
