Impress, a Barcelona, Spain-based orthodontics company, announced the completion of a $50 million financing, in what they call a series A round.

The money was raised from investors led by CareCapital (a dental division of Hillhouse Capital in Asia), along with Nickleby Capital, UNIQA Ventures, existing shareholders TA Ventures and Bynd VC as well as angel investors including Michael Linse via Linse Capital, Valentin Pitarque, Peter Schiff and Elliot Dornbusch.

Proceeds will be used for company's plans of scaling business across Europe.

Impress, founded in 2019 by Luis Vasquez, Diliara Lupenko and Vladimir Lupenko, provides services for teeth straightening as it uses AI technology and digital customer support in order to offer teeth alignment affordable and cheaper by 60%.

The company has a direct to consumer approach as it makes directly available to them the high-quality medical treatments via its own chain of orthodontic clinics - 75 clinics based in Spain, Italy, the UK, France and Portugal, which optimize costs and automate key parts of the value chain. The company says it’s approaching €50 million in annual run-rate and expects to get to €150 million within a year.

Impress previously raised €5 million in a seed round from TA Ventures, Bynd VC, Sabadell VC and several European VC angels.
