InPort sold entirely by Helsingborgs Hamn to new investors, including CEO Tord Svanqvist.
Helsingborgs Hamn announced entering into an agreement to sell the company Inport Intelligent Port Systems AB (InPort).
The buyers are a consortium consisting of ALMI Invest Västsverige AB and two private investors - Anders Edström and Tord Svanqvist.
Helsingborg's Port will remain unchanged as a customer of InPort. The new owners will develop the company and business in the long term. The deal was signed on June 26th, 2014.
Karlstad-based InPort is the Nordic region's leading provider of IT-based logistics solutions for ports, terminals, shipping companies and agents. Its biggest product is the PORTIT business system, which today is used by 30 customers in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland and Iceland. The system coordinates the logistics of port vessels, freight handling and customer billing.
The company's registered office is in Karlstad and the company has 12 employees. Helsingborg's Port has became the majority owner of InPort in October 2010.
