Insert Coin secured $1.6M from Swedish investors.

Insert Coin, a Gothenburg, Sweden-based developer of gamification solutions, completed a SEK 15M ($1.6M) capital investment round.

The funding was provided by a range of Swedish angel investors, new and existing owners, including Åke Lundén, Tuva Palm, Rolf Lundström and Jacob Ehrnrooth.

Insert Coin, founded in 2012 by Jonathan Sterner, Joakim Akterhall and CEO Carl Bjerkne, built a software platform that helps customers to introduce gamification into their existing products through an API. The solutions range from game mechanics to Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality.

Prior to this round, Insert Coin raised about $1.7M from outside investors.
