Instabox has acquired Dutch firm Red je Pakketje.
Instabox, a Stockholm, Sweden-based provider of delivery services, announced that it signedoff an agreement to purchase a Dutch company, Red je Pakketje, a local competitor.
Financial details remained undisclosed. Red je Pakketje founders Sam Rohn, Tijs van Driel, and Kay Rohn will continue to be involved in the new company and are reinvesting parts of their proceeds into Instabox.
Red je Pakketje, founded in 2016, provides a premium, same-day shipping service, mainly in the evening/after work hours, working with over 1,600 e-commerce outlets across the Netherlands.
Instabox, founded in 2010 by CEO Alexis Priftis, Staffan Gabrielsson, and Johan Lundin, developed a logistics service for e-commerce retailers, offering same-day delivery through its network of last-mile smart delivery lockers. The company operates more than 2,000 automated lockers in Sweden, Denmark, and Norway and raised $91 million in a round led by EQT Ventures in 2021.
